Course Description

Menopause Magnified offers a comprehensive roadmap for understanding the complex, system-wide changes that unfold during the menopausal transition. Rooted in robust research and enriched with practical wisdom and case-based applications, this course illuminates how the dynamic system is intricately connected (specifically sex hormones, gut health, thyroid function, insulin, detoxification, including liver and lymphatic function, the central nervous system, brain, and adrenals). It powerfully reframes menopause not as a single-system event, but as a dynamic, whole body transformation.

You’ll gain a deep understanding of the complexities of the female body during the menopausal transition, and learn how to apply this knowledge to create personalized nutrition, lifestyle, supplementation, and exercise plans that support vitality and wellbeing in this population!

Module 1: Welcome

We’ll set you up with background information and a roadmap for your journey through the course, highlighting strategies for success.

Module 2 introduction to menopause

Module 2: Introduction to Menopause

Understand the physiological phases, symptoms, and changes that occur through perimenopause & menopause. This module lays the groundwork for recognizing hormonal shifts and their impact across body systems.

Learn how menopause affects the whole body

Module 3: The Menopausal Body

Explore how menopause affects key systems in the body, including sex hormones, thyroid, insulin, gut health & immune function, detoxification, including the liver & lymphatic system, the brain, and the adrenals —equipping you to assess the full picture.

Learn how lifestyle impacts the menopausal transformation

Module 4: Lifestyle

Discover how to support clients through evidence-based changes in stress management, environmental toxicants, sleep, mindset, and daily habits that directly impact hormone balance and resilience.

Learn how to apply functional nutrition during menopause

Module 5: Nutrition

Apply the 4F System with a menopause-specific lens, including strategic approaches to protein, carbs, fasting, meal timing, and body composition goals— grounded in functional nutrition.

Learn how supplements impact the menopause transition

Module 6: Supplementation

Learn how to utilize evidence-informed supplements that support hormone balance, metabolic health, mood, sleep, body composition, performance, and more during the menopause transition.

Learn how to tailor exercise to the menopausal client

Module 7: Exercise

Learn how to tailor exercise to the perimenopausal/menopausal client. Explore strength training, cardiovascular training, recovery, and program design that aligns with a woman’s shifting physiology. This module is led by Dane Anderson.

Learn how to use lab testing to inform treatment of menopausal women

Module 8: Lab Testing

Learn how to use blood work, hormone testing (DUTCH), and other laboratory testing to uncover root causes and guide individualized protocols for women in the menopausal transition.

Learn the foundations of hormone replacement therapy for menopausal women

Module 9: Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

Learn the foundations of HRT in the context of menopause—when it may be appropriate, how it supports symptom management and long-term health, and how it integrates with functional care. Explore key considerations for both coaches and providers in guiding women through this transition with safe and effective strategies.

Apply what you've learned in the Menopause Magnified masterclass

Module 10: Final Exam

Time to put your knowledge and skills to use! The final exam provides opportunities to make connections between the modules and apply what you've learned!

Course Learning Objectives

Students will be able to explain the physiological changes of menopause and evaluate how hormonal shifts impact the body’s interconnected systems—including the brain, adrenals, thyroid, gut, immune system, liver, lymphatic system, and metabolism

Students will be able to design nutrition plans that incorporate functional strategies, such as macronutrient distribution, meal timing, fasting strategies, etc., to support health, body composition, and performance during menopause.

Students will be able to explain how targeted supplementation supports the endocrine, nervous, digestive, and detoxification systems; enhances metabolic function; and contributes to improved body composition and physical performance during the menopausal transition.

Students will be able to develop personalized exercise programs for perimenopausal and menopausal clients that align with hormonal shifts and physiological changes, emphasizing strength, cardiovascular fitness, and long-term resilience.

Students will be able to identify appropriate functional lab testing to assess individuals during the menopausal transition, and apply this knowledge to develop individualized nutrition, lifestyle, supplementation, and exercise strategies.
